N turns 3

It was RS's friend's birthday--N turned 3 years old! They had a man come over with animals and reptiles. Here is a turtle, RS was interested for a while, but not so interested in petting the animals.

Mommy J and Mae-Mae petting the rainbow boa. Mae-Mae was the most fearless one there petting all of the snakes, etc.

N taking a whack at the pinata.
Everyone took turns taking their best shot at the pinata.
Finally, mommy had to step in and show them what years of pinata whacking has taught her. The kids were so excited to finally get to the candy inside.

Mae-Mae finally stealing a hug while R was distracted. Too cute!

Caritas of Birmingham

Last week, some of my family from LA came to Atlanta to hang out for a couple of days before heading out to Caritas of Birmingham.
The family lounging around.
Hi there. I am really cute, huh?!
Hanging around and praying. There was a ton of people there who were so rich in faith--so inspiring!
A close up of the big boy.
RC showing off her near-crawling skills. She now gets up on all fours, but usually face-plants when she is trying to take off. She usually just does the army-crawl to get around now.

4th of July in Hotlanta

This is the third year that we went to C's office to watch the fireworks over Centineall Olympic Park in Atlanta. It is coriographed to wonderful music and is such a beautiful display every year. We met up with a couple of families and the kids and adults had such a wonderful time.

Happy 4th!!!

R fell in love with S severral months ago. She spent the end of the night chasing after him to try to give him a hug. This is a shot of him climbing off of the chair after she climbed up.

Here she was still chasing him to try to get that hug.

A shot of C in the kangaroo sack at the end of the night.

Mae-Mae showing off her cute bow.

Home Depot Picnic tote project

This 4th of July, we started the day with a project at the Home Depot. They have this wood-working day for kids on the 1st Saturday of each month. They even give out the kid sized Home Depot aprons and hand out a little piece of flair that includes the project that they are working on. This is our second project and a really fun one. Here are a few pictures from the morning. Roman is pouring the wood glue with his white car in hand.
Deep in thought.
I always start the nails and he hammers them down. This project was taller, so it took him a while to get a feel for it.

Maybe if I stick my tongue out like this. . .
Ok, maybe with my left hand like this. . .
Sliding the final piece in. That's a good looking picnic tote.
But his favorite part was probably the popcorn and Dum-Dum's that they were handing out in celebration of the 4th of July.

RC looking good in her Home Depot apron as well. Not quite banging the hammers around yet, but surprisingly did enjoy all of the noise from the day.

D and A's Wedding

RC and I went back to LA for D and A's wedding on June 6th. It was a quick trip but a really fun one. We had a great time hanging out with family and enjoying the wedding and reception.

D's groom cake was a duck hunting scene complete with camo plates and napkins. It was really cute and perfect for him!
Complete with Cajun champagne--Bud Light.

Cheers to the happy couple.
