E's birthday

One of RS's Classmates had a birthday party at a gymnastics facility. It was a really fun time for all of the kids. Here is one of classmates about to jump into the "pit" of foam blocks. RS climbed up and thought about jumping a few times, but preferred to play it safe by just climbing into the pit rather than jumping off of the platforms.

Happy Birthday, E!! Whoo-hoo--it's cake time!

E--open mine next!

Daddy hair

The other day, RC went to bed just after a bath and her hair was still a little damp. When she woke up, it was sticking straight out--just like Dad's is in the mornings. It was really funny, so I thought I'd share.

Bubbles

We went outside on a really cold and windy but BEAUTIFUL day. We tried to stay close to the house so that it would block most of the wind. Here are some shots of them enjoying the weather and the bubbles.

RS was getting annoyed by the wind, so he went really close to the house so that he could blow really big bubbles.

Valentines from Grandma and Pop-Pop

Grandma and Pop-Pop sent over some Valentines for the kids (and for us). She made heart-shaped marshmallows which were a huge hit as well as toys and more candy. Here are a few shots.
RS was so excited to see his name on the marshmallow.
Look, mom!

Mmmmmmmmm, tastes good!

2nd snow day in GA

It snowed for the 2nd time this year a few weeks ago. It was really pretty outside, so we decided to play. I brought out the knee board and ski rope and rigged up a sled for the kids. I told RS to to hold on tight to RC--it didn't go so well.

After only a few feet, RC fell face first into the snow.

Not happy.

And that was the end of sledding for RC.

Opening presents from Pop-Pop and Grandma

RS LOVES getting packages in the mail. Even when I order something online, he gets excited to open the "present." This time it was a present for RC's birthday--with a little something for RS thrown in as well. He just loves his plane.

RC's birthday outfit.

Big Red Barn has become RS's favorite book. He calls it the Horse Book.

Is there anything more exciting than a singing birthday card? Not to my kids.

1st snow day

The first time it snowed this year, I woke RS up and raised his blinds and showed him. He said, "ohhhhhh, snow. Let's go play in the snow!" So, we did. Here are some shots. It didn't last too long because it was really cold and windy, but they were very interested in it and RS loved the sound it made when he stepped on it.

RC's birthday cont

RC "finding" RS in a game of hide and seek.

Present time! We got her a basketball and earrings. I haven't figured out how to take out her piercing earrings, so her new ones still aren't in. And unlike her brother, she just loves the basketball.

RC turns 1

We had a quiet celebration for RC's first birthday at home. RS and I made a cake for her and here are some shots of her digging in.

RS showing her how to really enjoy the sprinkles.

Yummy!!!
