Paw-B and Maw-D's Christmas Eve

Maw D is all smiles, RC is not.

After eating gumbo for lunch, one of the children carries baby Jesus to the manger while all of the others carry candles following. We sing "silent night" in English and then in German and then sing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus. This was RS's first year participating. It is always a great tradition and lots of fun.

Afterward, Maw-D hands out presents to all of her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren (a $2 bill for everyone.) Check out the candy canes lining the wall--there is one for each person.
