making easter treats

I wanted to help RS make a treat for his class, so we used an Easter mold to pour melted Chocolate into. It didn't really turn out (most of them stuck to the plastic), but he had a great time trying.

Since the molds aren't turning out quite right, we turned to the well-loved classic--dipped pretzels.

I'll take another--they are my favorite! I love it when you make candy!!!!!!!!!!

We love making candy!!

RC preferred digging in the dirt pots on the deck.

Dying eggs

Getting ready for Easter and time to dye eggs. We started out by mixing up cups of vinegar, water and the tablets inside, then went outside to make the mess a little easier to clean. It was a beautiful day and we had a blast.

This is our first batch of eggs. RS is wowed by how quickly the colors have changed. He is still using the little metal stick that came with the package at this point.

RC takes a turn after munching on a candy Easter egg. The wire egg holder is short lived.

Mom, it's much more fun just dipping your whole hand in!!

E's birthday

One of RS's Classmates had a birthday party at a gymnastics facility. It was a really fun time for all of the kids. Here is one of classmates about to jump into the "pit" of foam blocks. RS climbed up and thought about jumping a few times, but preferred to play it safe by just climbing into the pit rather than jumping off of the platforms.

Happy Birthday, E!! Whoo-hoo--it's cake time!

E--open mine next!

Daddy hair

The other day, RC went to bed just after a bath and her hair was still a little damp. When she woke up, it was sticking straight out--just like Dad's is in the mornings. It was really funny, so I thought I'd share.

Bubbles

We went outside on a really cold and windy but BEAUTIFUL day. We tried to stay close to the house so that it would block most of the wind. Here are some shots of them enjoying the weather and the bubbles.

RS was getting annoyed by the wind, so he went really close to the house so that he could blow really big bubbles.
