C and D's Easter

Even though we had had a long day and drive, we stopped at C and D's for Easter dinner. RC loved the homemade sweet and sour sauce and kept dipping her hand in it and licking it off.

She also loved all of the dogs that were there.

RS didn't so much. But he did have a great time with Mae Mae and Mrs. L.

Egg hunt at D's

Since we didn't get there until Sunday night, D held off on the hunt until Monday. We went over to have burgers and hot dogs and hunt for eggs. Here is "take off" time.

Mom gave out baskets filled with goodies after the hunt.

Mom is distributing baskets. If you look all the way in the back of the pic to the right, you can see D's garden, complete with a D-sized scarecrow. It was a great garden with rows of very tasty strawberries, baby cucumbers, etc.

RC is glad to get a chance to ride the trike by herself.

Crawfish Time

The ponds haven't really been producing many crawfish this year--until I got there, that is! Mom and I loaded up the truck at the ponds and took this load to the distributor. There were 91 sacks of crawfish here which was their biggest catch so far.

They weigh the sacks then put them on these pallets to go into the fridge. I asked the guy how long it would take to sell this many crawfish and he said that they were already sold. He says that sell as far away as Dallas and Memphis. Hopefully, we will soon get Atlanta added to the list. This year, they had such a shortage of crawfish that they weren't able to try to get to markets farther away.

RC had a great time running around the crawfish place.

Golf Cart Fun

Mom and Dad invested in a golf cart about a month ago and has been a huge hit! The kids especially love taking rides and getting to drive on someones lap. Here is a shot of everyone piling on and going for a spin.

RS in his underwear and boots holding on--N looks like he is thinking that he would like for someone to put pants on his neighbor.

RC getting a turn driving while R and A enjoy the ride.

I want to drive again!!!

Easter beach

We went to the beach before we parted ways on Easter, and RC still was not a big fan of the sand! RS didn't really like it last year either, but this year he was in love.

S was in love too!

Sand fun.

Easter morning

The Easter Bunny has arrived! The kids opened their baskets and got dressed for the hunt.

It's go time!

S was running and spilled her eggs and N stopped to help her put them back--it was so SWEET!

N and R smiling their cheesiest smiles. Happy Easter!

Beach shots

] '
We went to the beach to watch the sun go down--it was about a 3 min drive from our cabin at Gulf State Park. R and S had a great time playing in the sand. N was pretty tired, so he watched on from the comfort of P's lap.

Knocking down someones sand castle.

Mommas and babies and Ergo carriers--we should send it to them to use for an ad. We hadn't realized how cool it had become, so we had to dig around the car to try to find warmer clothes. This is why I am in my perfectly matched outfit and RC has on RS's shirt.

S wanted to jump in the water, but R thought it was best just watching.

Easter in AL

N took RS's hand to walk back to the cabin--cher!!! Our cabins were about 100ftish from the bay, and just beside the dock was a sign that said not to feed or aggravate the alligators--yikes! Thankfully, we didn't see any.

Our cabins had this cute screened-in area where we dined. It was really nice as the mosquitos came out in the evenings. Here is C swigging a beer. It was empty, but he still liked playing with the can.

The H Family.

Riding lessons

RS was a little afraid to get on the horse-like things by himself, so dad showed him how much fun it could be while N looked on.

Entertain us C!

I think dad was having as much fun as RS.

Easter in AL

We went to Orange Beach, AL to be with the H family for Easter. We all had a wonderful time. We stayed at a state park on the bay and there was a really cute playground nearby. Here is N on the back hoe.

RC didn't really like the sand so much.

Alright--it's time for someone to entertain me.

That's better!

School Easter Party!

.

RS had a Easter party at school and I showed up a couple of minutes late and had already missed the egg hunt, but they had a great time eating the special Easter treats.

RC coming in to grab a treat off of RS's plate. RS's friends were happy to share--they loved her.

L is showing off the cookie that she decorated.

Bye, Mrs. P! Have a great Easter!
