RC's first Oreo

This is from a couple of weeks ago. RC had her first Oreo and she was in love. It was a big mess but looks like it is her favorite food ever.

Reaching out to get the other half.

Hat Day

Here are a couple of pics I shot with their favorite hat. RS has not ever kept a hat on his head until now. He loves this thing! RC is riding the bull.
Howdy, y'all!

OK, I'll smile.

Monday Night Football

V and B came over with M the other night for some Monday Night Football action. It took them an hour to get here and more than 2 hours to get back home because of all the roads being closed from the flooding. But while they were here, we had a great time and the kids did too. RC was already asleep, but here are some shots of RS and M playing.
This one didn't really come out, but I had to post it because it was too cute. I'm not sure why, but he seemed fascinated with her hair--he kept slowly and gently pulling it up and looking at it. I'm sure she found it odd, but didn't really complain.

Dunt-du-du-DAaa. . . Super RS! RS was showing off for the new crowd.

M had a good time playing with new toys.

RC gets earrings

During our trip to LA, mom had a Dr. appointment in Alex. I wanted to get RC's ears pierced, so while we were there, we stopped by Claire's in the mall and finally did it! She was not very excited about it to say the least and I quickly regretted doing it--there was even a concerned man that was in the mall who stopped by to inquire as to how we could be so mean. RS told the lady that she needed to tell RC that she was sorry. I was having trouble breathing and nearly took the earrings out, but then her tears dried up and she started smiling and playing as if she didn't notice them. It has been really easy so far, with only one time it obviously causing her pain. Dad accidentally tugged one of them with the bath sponge and she cried for a minute, but was distracted by something else and has been easy-breezy since then.

Grandma and Pop-Pop's visit

Grandma and Pop Pop came over for a trip that was long overdue last week. RS and RC love all the extra attention. Here is Pop-Pop giving RC her morning bottle.
So while they were here, we had a few nights out. Here, we went to A and J's for grilling, beer and hanging out. Here is M and J just before their big trip.

Good Times.

All smiles.
Not all smiles here.

RS sad to see Grandma and Pop-Pop leave. He has asked about them every day since. It goes like this. . . R: Where Grandma and Pop-Pop? Me: I don't know, where do you think they are? R: Indiana. Me: That's right--they will be back soon. R: Soon. . . Where Grandma and Pop-Pop? and it goes on. . .

Swimming at Lou's

We had the whole family over at Lou's for dinner and swimming. It was a wonderful afternoon of getting to spend time with family. The kids had a blast. Here is A flashing a smile for the camera.

L and RC were playing in walkers. It was really cute watching them interact. They were just checking each other out here.

Uncle D, me and the kids swimming. Check out RS--this was the first time he ever was not being held in the water (if you don't count the swim ring). He was really proud and just kicked his little legs all around the pool. Too much fun!

Maw-D and Paw-B

On the past trip to LA a couple of weeks ago, mom, sister and me tooke the kids to Maw D and Paw-B's for a visit. Maw D was making headbands to sell at the Germanfest coming up quickly. She was on a mission to make 500 with the help of family and friends, so we helped to tie the ribbons to the ends. Here is RC modeling one of the head bands with C.
