Chicken Stuff

RS loves to help cook, so any time I make something using shredded cheese, he is the one who adds it. We made a Chicken Casserole and he added the layers of cheese.
This is really nice adding the cheese to the dish.
But this is nicer. He dumped the bag of cheese and gobbled up as much as he could fit into his mouth.

RS opens presents

Grandma H and R sent over his first present. He just took out the money and put it beside him--it was getting in the way of being able to read the card clearly ;-). Since airplanes and cars are still his favorite things, the card was a big hit. He kept asking for more (meaning read it again) after each time we looked at it.
Opening his next present--his first train set.
Although it was frustrating for him to try to keep it on the track, he really liked playing with it off of the track. He has since learned how to play with the train on the track and he really likes making it go under the tunnel.
This is a box of roofing nails that he received with a little hammer and insulation to hammer the nails into. It wasn't his favorite gift--I think I need to get a little lighter hammer because this one was too heavy for him to maneuver well.
This is a ramp with cars from Grandma and Pop-Pop. He loves this one!

RS turns 2

RS turned two on June 3rd, and since he loves to cook with me, he helped to make his own cake. Here are a few pictures I took along the way.
Adding the oil
Mix, mix, mix. I suppose it is more accurate to say taste, mix, taste.

In the oven they went. We just used a boxed yellow cake mix and homemade chocolate frosting. We had a great time and it tasted great.

Airshow

J's company sponsored an airshow at Peachtree Dekalb airport and a great time was had by all. Here is a shot of Grandma taking RS on a walk.

This robot was really funny. He went around shaking hands and cracking jokes.
Complete with crawfish--now that's how you make one heck of a day, y'all.

Grown up seeds

RS and his friend planted some seeds in a really cute blog a couple of months back, so I wanted to update you on how they turned out. These are some pics of the things they planted. Everything is doing so well. RS has his own watering can and he comes to help me water things everyday. We use the water out of our rain barrels and he loves holding the hose and usually squirting it all around him. Here are Banana Peppers and Alyssum as well as Zinnias

We love having a few pots on the deck as well.
